DC Young Democrats 2017 Elections

On January 30, 2017, the DC Young Democrats will hold its bi-annual meeting to elect the members of the 2017-2019 Executive Board. The following positions will be on the ballot:

  • President
  • Executive Vice-President
  • Vice President of Administration and Finance
  • Vice President of Programs
  • Treasurer
  • Recording Secretary
  • Correspondence Secretary
  • National Committeeman
  • National Committeewoman

The meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at the following location:
Shaw Library – 1630 7th Street NW Washington, DC 20001

Today, February 13th at 5:00 p.m., residents will rally at the Spirit of Justice Park (South Capitol St, SE and D Street, SE) outside the Rayburn House Office Building to protest Representative Jason Chaffetz’s (R-UT) attempt to overturn the District’s Death with Dignity Act.

Chairman Jason Chaffetz’s House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will mark up a disapproval resolution against the locally passed law. The committee mark up is open to the public and will occur in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building at 5:30 p.m.

The rally will be followed by a #HandsOffDC meeting organized by Councilmember Charles Allen at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street, NE at 6:30 PM.
